NuNet network isn’t public yet, as the micro-payments layer enabling P2P transactions is still in development. However, several private and testing sub-networks are onboarding their devices already.

To try out the installation process for yourself, you can download and install the NuNet Appliance—your device’s entry point to NuNet. Once connected, your device becomes a NuNet node—welcome aboard!

NTX Token

NTX is NuNet’s native utility token. Its purpose is to facilitate peer to peer transactions between network participants and to power the global sharing economy of decentralized computing.

Tokenomics

While the main function of the NTX Utility token is in its practical function facilitating peer to peer exchanges between devices, NTX token has also an external side that exposes it to the crypto markets and allows users to acquire the token for immediate or later usage on the platform.

NTX is designed to be a multi-chain utility token from the start. At the Token Generation Event, NuNet minted 1 billion NTX tokens across two blockchains:

631,250,000 NTX-ETH tokens (63.125% of the total supply) on Ethereum

368,750,000 NTX-ADA tokens (36.875% of the total supply) on Cardano

De-Governance

Decentralized governance on NuNet is a deliberately assembled set of instruments designed to foster self-organization within the network. For the de-gov process to gain momentum, a critical mass of ‘players of the game’ must already be engaged—people experienced in leveraging NuNet to share and access compute, and in contributing to the open-source code. Once the network is operational, there will be much to debate and steer!
